The variants

Giulia Spider Veloce

The Veloce was the sporting Giulia Spider: twin Weber carburettors and hotter camshafts lifting the 1,570 cc twin-cam to around 112 bhp, identified by the raised bonnet scoop fitted to clear the taller engine. Faster, rarer and more sought-after than the Normale, it is the most powerful of the Giulietta/Giulia production spiders. (Type 101.18.)

Twin Weber carburettors

The Veloce's 1,570 cc twin-cam breathes through twin Weber carburettors, lifting output to around 112 bhp against the Normale's ≈92 bhp.

The raised bonnet scoop

The taller induction of the twin-Weber engine does not sit under the flat Normale bonnet, so the Veloce is given a raised scoop — the clearest external identifier of the variant.

Same running gear

Five-speed gearbox, front disc brakes and the Pininfarina bodyshell are shared with the Normale; the difference is in the engine's state of tune.
